Our business opened in 1973 as Saffron Patisserie in Grove Road, Eastbourne.

It was established by patissier Cliff Bennett and his wife Maureen. Cliff was previously a manager at the renowned Bondofi’s in Eastbourne where he had worked with his father Norman, also a skilled confectioner, and director of Bondolfi’s.

Cliff’s son Mark joined the business in 1987 and completed an apprenticeship at Brighton Technical College. He became a partner with Cliff in 1992 when they bought Cavendish Bakery in Cavendish Place.

Over the years our business has evolved from a patisserie to a bakery. We continue to bake on the premises daily and offer the highest quality product range.
